We offer private lessons in piano, violin ,viola, cello, guitar, electric bass, and voice for students four and up. Private lessons ensure that the student has the undivided attention of the teacher and can progress at a level suited to them individually. We also offer the internationally acclaimed, piano-based early childhood music program, Harmony Road, so that children as young as two can experience the highest quality New Mozart music classes.


The Largest and Most Qualified Teaching Faculty in Palo Alto

We have 23 music teachers, all with either college training or professional performance experience. Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you to achieve them. We have college professors with doctoral degrees in music, Suzuki certified violin teachers, early childhood music specialists, and accomplished performing artists.

With multiple music teachers for most instruments, we are confident that we have the right teacher to meet your music lesson needs. Regular Concerts and Recitals at Professional Venues

Every June and December many of our students choose to perform in our bi-annual recitals. We hold these at Foothill College and on-site at our California campus. We hold our recitals at professional venues and our families love this recital experience. Participation in music festivals, competitions, and workshops is also available.


Professional Office Staff Six Days a Week to Serve You

Many music studio desks are staffed by the teacher/owner or more commonly an answering machine. We have three office staffs who are available at the office to assist our families.


Located on University Avenue & California Avenue - in the Heart of Palo Alto

Both of our locations are conveniently located near the Caltrain station, coffee shops, shopping, dining, and the beautiful neighborhoods of Palo Alto. Our locations are convenient to and we have many students from Menlo Park, Redwood City, Mountain View, and Los Altos.


All Ages - Beginners to Advanced

Our current private lessons students range from 4 years old to many students in their 60's and 70's. We take care to teach what you want to learn so music is rewarding for students of all ages and levels.

Harmony Road for Children Ages 2 and Above

New Mozart has the most established piano based group children's music program in the Peninsula. Children as young as 2 years of age learn the basics of music in a fun & supportive group environment. Harmony Road music curriculum is designed to build a solid foundation for later successes in private lessons. May/June Greetings from the Office!

 

 

 

Dear New Mozart Parents & Students:

School year is almost over with just a month and a half away. We know that many of you are in the final stages of mapping out your summer & next school year, and we would love to be a part of it!

Priority registration will open this coming Sunday, May 6th so mark your calendars! This year, we’re starting summer registration first (6 wk session) then will move on to priority registration for the upcoming school year. (look inside this newsletter for details.) Don’t wait till the last minute to register.

Unlike group classes, private lesson slots are extremely limited. If you forget to register during priority registration, your slot may be taken by a student wanting longer lesson or a waitlisted family. Remember that we are at full capacity currently with popular time slots (weekday 3-6pm) and weekend slots are currently full so be sure to priority register to keep your time.

New Mozart is Now a Founding School of the Cargenie Hall Royal Conservatory The Achievement Program

 


We're so excited to bring you the news that New Mozart School of Music has been selected as a Founding School of the Cargenie Hall Royal COnservatory Achievement Program!

We will be bringing many opportunities for our students and teachers through this program including opportunities to perform at the Carnegie Hall in New York (for qualifying students).

Stay tuned for more info as we implement this prestigious program at New Mozart.

 

 

 

There is such a proliferation of music curricula for young children: Orff, Dalcroze, Kodaly, Suzuki, Montessori, and many more. They all have strengths, and each emphasizes important aspects of the developing

strengths for the most comprehensive possible musical foundation?

It was precisely this idea that motivated me to implement a keyboard based children's program at the New Mozart school. New Mozart's Harmony Road combines Montessori’s child-centered learning, Kodaly singing, the rhythm and motion of Dalcroze and Orff and the high parental engagement of Suzuki to produce a uniquely multidimensional curriculum that introduces young children to active and enthusiastic participation in the world of music.
